Advisory Committees
Occupational education in the community college is concerned with the ever-changing employment scene. Educators must provide skills that are salable and they must keep in constant communication with representatives of the world of work. One significant way to do this involves use of advisory committees. Advisory committee members volunteer their time, talent and experience. Representing the spectrum of employers and their professions, they perform the vital role of placing business and industry at the side of educational planners where they can guard against program obsolescence and help interpret manpower demands.
